Welcome to my website. This website and my service comes from years of blood, sweat, tears, chemo, surgery, biopsies, petscans and so much more. I heard the dreaded words - "It's Cancer" - right before Christmas in 2013. I was 36 years old. I thought I was doing everything right for my body, but I couldn't outsmart cancer. Then, I had to hear those same words come from my doctor's mouth again on November 19, 2015. This time a completely different cancer. First, Metastatic Thyroid Cancer. Then, Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. I couldn't believe it. I actually started laughing hysterically on the phone with my doctor when he delivered the second diagnosis. It was so unreal and absurd.
Thankfully, today I am here. Still. In remission. I wake up every morning and say thank you to God, the universe, the angels, my spirit guides, and anyone else who will listen - I say thank you for my life. For another day to wake up and live and love and get the crap kicked out of me and enjoy every second of it! I realized after chemo that I wanted to help people on this journey. I was sitting at lunch one day with two girlfriends who had just recently had babies. They were going on and on about their doula and how amazing she was and how she helped them through their pregnancy and birth. I started asking questions about what it was like and how she helped them. Right away I thought - I wish I had someone like that when I was going through cancer. I wasn't ready to step into that kind of a role just yet, but it stuck with me through my healing process.
Well, here I am now. Ready, willing and thankfully able to step into that role. Feeling healthy, happy and strong again. Ready to show up and help others on their cancer journey. I have learned so much over the past several years and I want to be able to share this knowledge. I believe my life before getting diagnosed was actually leading up to this. I am a Certified Health Coach and trained chef. I was working to create a business around healthy living. I just didn't know that it would lead me on this specific path, but I'm grateful to have the education and personal knowledge to create this kind of care. I want to help you walk through this difficult path before you and make it a little easier. I want to be here to support you and hold your hand. You don't have to walk it alone. I'm here for you and it would be an honor and privilege to support you on your journey.
